Typical Engagements

We Don’t Sell Online Courses.
We Solve Problems.

How people hire us.

This office runs a special kind of practice. No hourly billing, no monthly packages, no guessing who your file is with.

If you bring us a file, we take it as-is: the history, the mistakes, the notices, and rebuild it the way CRA and the IRS expect.

Below are the engagements we work on most often.

1. Cross-Border File Rebuild

For clients whose past filings are a mess and need to be rebuilt from scratch.

Old accountant guessed their way through a departure. PFIC rules ignored. 5471 missing. T1135 wrong. Income dumped in the wrong country. Residency misfired. Treaty positions undocumented.

If your file feels like a Jenga tower and you’re waiting for it to fall, this is the engagement.

We go back through the years, unwind the mistakes, rebuild the position, and give you a file that could survive a full CRA or IRS review. When we’re done, you aren’t carrying your past mistakes into the next decade.

Typical range: CAD$5,000–$25,000+ depending on the years and the damage.

2. Foreign Tax Credit Recovery & CRA/IRS Normalization

For files that have gone sideways with one or both tax authorities.

Maybe the CRA issued timing reassessments because the US return was still in limbo. Maybe a notice arrived and nobody followed up. Maybe the foreign tax credit wasn’t calculated properly. Maybe the IRS has questions. Maybe you’ve got multiple years out of alignment.

This engagement is straightforward: we bring the years back into sync, respond to the notices, fix the foreign tax credits, and get the CRA or IRS to the correct answer.

If you’ve got letters piling up and interest building, this is the lane.

Typical range: CAD$3,500–$12,000 depending on the number of years and agencies involved.

3. Ongoing Cross-Border Stewardship

For clients who want the problem handled every year, permanently.

This is our annual relationship. You hand us your documents, we file Canada and the US, and we make sure the residency, treaty positions, foreign reporting, and credits all line up the way they’re supposed to.

If a notice comes, we already have the working papers and the rationale.
You’ll never have to explain your situation twice. No surprises. No panic. No guesswork.

Best suited for business owners, professional athletes, and individuals with ongoing cross-border exposure who want a long-term partner, and not a seasonal return factory.

Annual minimum: CAD$3,000.

4. Athlete & Advisory Desk

For professional athletes and their advisory teams.

We handle the cross-border filing, timing gaps, CRA requests for US verification, and end-of-season cleanups. Advisors get clarity, players stay out of the tax weeds, and nobody needs to guess what CRA or the IRS wants next.

Great fit for agencies, family offices, and independent advisors who need the cross-border piece handled cleanly and quietly in the background.

Engagements quoted based on complexity and number of jurisdictions.
